Tektronix AWG5004 Arbitrary Waveform Generator
The Tektronix AWG5004 is an Arbitrary Waveform Generator featured with 4 Arbitrary Waveform Single-ended /Differential Outputs, +/– 5 ns Range Inter Channel Skew Control (50 ps Resolution), 80 dBc (1 MHz) SFDR, and Up to 4.5 Vp-p Single-ended Output at 50 Ω output impedance. The 14 bits DA converter has a based sample rate of 600 MS/s and other powerful features make this model ideal for demanding applications, such as Data Conversion, Imaging, and Wireless Communications.
This model is based on Microsoft Windows XP Professional and comes equipped with an 80 GB removable Hard Disk Drive, 512 MB SDRAM, and a CD-RW/DVD drive. The PC I/O Ports on this model are USB 2.0 compliant ports x 6, an RJ-45 Ethernet connector, and standard PS/2 ports for a mouse and keyboard. The Tektronix AWG5004 features a touchscreen-enabled 10.4-inch Color LCD, designed to operate at 1024 (H) x 768 (V). The AWG5004 consumes 450 W of power while running and requires 100 to 240 VAC, 47 to 63 Hz.
The Tektronix AWG5004 comes with a couple of Instrument Control/Data Transfer Ports as well, including a GPIB port and an RJ-45 Ethernet (10/100/1000Base-T) port, in addition to the ones mentioned above. This model comes with a waveform file import capability as well. The user can have their *.wfm, *.pat, *.seq files imported from a variety of other Tektronix instruments to their AWG5004. In addition to this, the file import capability can also be used for waveform data created by third-party software, such as MATLAB and MathCad.
