Tektronix RSA3408B Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer
Featured with up to 1.28 s acquisition length and DC to 8 GHz frequency range, the RSA3408B is a real-time, portable Spectrum Analyzer from Tektronix. This model can capture random, intermittent, and continuous signals with equal ease. The acquired data is then analyzed in phase, time, frequency, and amplitude domains correlating with time. With this model, the user can get a 3-Dimensional representation of complex, time-varying spectrum. The Tektronix RSA3408B has an internal, 8 GHz down converter, which converts the RF signal into a 6 MHz IF signal.
The powerful configuration of this instrument makes it an ideal choice for various complicated applications, such as software defined radio measurements, RF debug of modules, systems, and components, audio distortion measurement for sonar systems and tactical radio, etc. The RSA3408B also allows real-time measurement of phase noise. This model comes equipped with multiple communication interfaces: GPIB, LAN, and USB. For viewing waveforms on an external display device, there is a VGA port provided as well.
The front panel interface of this instrument has a wide 21.3 cm LCD designed to operate at 800 × 600 dots resolution and 256 colors. In addition to side keys, menu, keys, and a keypad, there is an N-type RF input connector provided on the front panel. This connects an input signal at a maximum capacity of 30 dBm. The Tektronix RSA3408B is a PC-based instrument, which operates on Windows XP. To allow the user to save data via a network, this analyzer comes equipped with a standard Ethernet interface.
