Tektronix TDS3052C Oscilloscope

The Tektronix TDS3052C Oscilloscope has 2 Input Channels, 0.7 ns Rise Time (typical), a Bandwidth of 500 MHz, and a Sample Rate on each channel of 5 GS/s.

This model has a logic and pulse activation that enables the user to additionally qualify initiation conditions by including parameters like pulse width, delta time, logical comparisons of two signals, and dual threshold levels. Both Pulse and Logic types trigger the oscilloscope when one or more signals are logically true. To determine if a signal is true or false, the user should set a signal reference point that determines if a signal is in one of two states. The user can set this reference point by determining a limit voltage level for each trigger signal. Crossing the threshold level toggles the state estimation of that signal.

The state (genuine or false) of a signal relies upon how the user characterizes its signal logic setting, which can be either high-true or low-true. Characterizing a signal as high-true (H) implies that signal levels above (more positive than) the threshold level are true, while signal levels beneath (more negative than) the threshold level are false.  A low-true (L) logic setting is the exact inverse. Characterizing a signal as low-true implies that signal levels underneath (more negative than) the threshold level are true, whereas signal levels above (more positive than) the threshold level are false. Low logic effectively alters the signal.  Characterizing the consistent condition of a signal gives the user a chance to utilize Boolean logic to evaluate when a condition is true for two signals.
