Tektronix TLA5203 Logic Analyzer

The Tektronix TLA5203 is a 102 Channel Logic Analyzer from the TLA5000 Series. This model offers 500 Ps, 32 Mb Timing Record Length, 235 MHz State Acquisition, and 16 Independent Trigger States. The TLA5203 is an ideal solution for single-bus state and timing analysis. This analyzer can easily be integrated into the user’s existing design environment because it comes with a standard Windows-based desktop and an intuitive user interface.

The Intel 865G chipset based PC incorporated in the TLA5203 features a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron Processor, 512 MB SDRAM, ≥80 GB Hard Drive, Optical Drive, and a Floppy Drive. With this model, the user can utilize multiple external display devices, since it comes with two DB15 SVGA (female) external display ports. These ports can deliver up to 1600 x 1200 external display resolution. The Tektronix TLA5203 has one Male DB9 Serial Interface Port, one EPP, one ECP, one Female DB25 Parallel Interface Port, one LAN Port, and four USB Ports (two internal).

The power supply incorporated in this logic analyzer is a switching power converter that supplies the required power to all parts of the device. For proper cooling of the unit, a microprocessor controller fan assembly is provided. This model has a 10.4-inch internal display with a built-in back light. To acquire data from the device under test (DUT) or target system, the user can utilize the P6417, P6418, P6419, or P6434 probes. This model allows the user to connect four P6434 (high-density) probes or eight P6417, P6418, and P6419 (general purpose) probes provided that the configuration is correct.
